On June 30, 2005 after extensive prayer and counsel, Sonrise Center entered into an agreement with BIOLA University which acquired its extensive library collection.
It is a blessing working with BIOLA Library and Media Services and its' courteous and astute library staff. We believe it’s a positive step forward insuring long-term preservation & accessibility. You can visit the Biola Library website to get an idea of what books and multimedia materials are available. The following directly links you to the BIOLA University Library catalogue and its' search engine. The search engine starts up with the few initial entries of the SCBS collection, but you can just type in what area you are interested in, e.g., Buddhism and Christianity, Buddhism, spiritual terms. http://libcat.biola.edu/search/Ybuddhism&SORT=D/YBuddhism&SORT=D/1,78,78,B/browse

knowledge base consisting of other rare materials, magazines,
journals, 1,200 slides; many file cabinets of well organized
materials that are in the process of being digitized for easier accessibility and preservation. Although some of the multimedia collection is now accessible at BIOLA University, 70
hours of original video interviews, our extensive
specialized audio collection based drawn from our
training sessions are being integrated into the Cross & Lotus Digital Project.
As a collaboratory,
SCBS strives to produce cutting edge material that
is useful in equipping the Christian community. The first of our
strategic
thrusts is the development of delivery systems. These find
expression through a) website; b) a cyberoffice, which allows others
to create, exchange, edit and produce valuable input for the
website; c) a virtual resource link, allowing our worldwide
constituency to order and access digital materials on-line; d) a
virtual classroom which permits interactive access to a variety of
classes that will be offered through cyberspace.

TRAINING
SCBS specializes in the development of
lifelong training for workers
in the U.S. and abroad, using a twofold method. One, through the use
of new emerging technologies, we are designing virtual classrooms
which utilize the Internet and digital technologies. Secondly, we continue to use a
modular training approach
which employs Christian lecturers and staff who specialize in
ministry to Buddhists.
Our training emphasis includes a practical
field-based approach through courses in cooperation with mission agencies,
organizations, churches, seminaries, and colleges. Courses range
from:
Mission to Buddhists Modular Training, Who is My Neighbor? The
Gospel in a Pluralist Society (Leadership Training Program), and The
Cross and the Lotus: An Introduction to Buddhism and the Christian
Mission.
