Paul
Carden serves as the Executive Director of Centers for
Apologetics Research, formerly International Director for
Christian Research Institute and the well recognized voice on the
Bible Answer Man.
Ron
Enroth serves as Professor of Sociology at Westmont
College. He is a graduate of Houghton College and earned his M.A. and
Ph.D. at the University of Kentucky. He has also done
post-doctoral study at Harvard University. An acknowledged
national resource on cults and new religious movements, Dr.
Enroth as spent the past thirty years researching and
writing in the area of current religious movements. In addition to
many journal and magazine articles, he has authored or co-authored
nine books. (including The Lure of Cults and New Religions and
Churches that Abuse) His work has been mentioned in the New
York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Los Angeles Times, The
Boston Globe, The Washington Post, Christianity Today, Time
magazine, and many other periodicals.
Roger
Hedlund has served for more than 23 years in India in
missions. He had taught as a Professor at Union Biblical Seminary,
Pune and as a Professor of Missiology at Serampore College. He
also is the Editor of Dharma Deepika, a South Asian Journal. He holds a D.Miss.
from Fuller School of World Mission.
David
Johnston: After growing up in a missionary home in France,
David served for 16 years in three different Arab countries,
Algeria, Egypt and the West Bank, successively. Went to Algeria
after completing M.Div. at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in
1978 and served as assistant pastor in two different expatriate
churches in Algiers. Joined a mission organization (Young Life
International) in 1995. Completed a Th.M. in missiology from
Fuller Seminary in 1988 before going to Egypt with his family,
where he taught in language school run by the Coptic Evangelical
Church. Taught Youth Ministry and Church History in Arabic for
three years at the Bethlehem Bible College. He has now one more
year in front of him to complete a Ph.D. program at the School of
Intercultural Studies at Fuller, studying Islam and Christian-Muslim
dialogue in an active mode.
Peter
Jones holds an M.Div. from Gordon-Conwell Theological
Seminary, a Th.M. from Harvard Divinity School, and Ph.D. from
Princeton Theological Seminary. He is Professor of New Testament
at Westminster Theological Seminary in Escondido, CA. Author of
the best-selling The Gnostic Empire Strikes Back and Spirit Wars,
he is presently working on the third volume of the triogy, a
Christian alternative to pagan spirituality.
Rabi
Maharaj is a descendant from a long line of Hindu
priests and gurus and trained as a yogi. He meditated for many
hours each day, but gradually disillusionment set in. He has
spoken at over 600 universities throughout Europe about his own
struggle as a Hindu who now follows Jesus Christ.
James
Stephens: Prior to conversion in 1984, James was
a zealous Buddhist for 14 years and a graduate of a Buddhist
Academy. Since 1988 he has directed Sonrise Center, a Christian
work to train the missional church to share their faith in a
Buddhist and Asian pluralistic context. James has a Masters in
Intercultural Studies from Fuller School of Intercultural Studies and has
taught on several continents.
Stephen Short was a former Zen Buddhist monk in Los Angeles and is a composer living on the east coast.
Brendan Pelphrey a Greek Orthodox priest, was the founding editor of Areopagus Magazine~A Living Encounter with Religious Faiths at Tao Fong Shan Christian Centre in Hong Kong, and now resides in the US, where he leads a parish and as an artist is restoring icons.
Bernie
Wijesiriwardena: As a native of Sri Lanka he has a Buddhist
ancestry of over 580 years. From an early age he was raised to
become a "Guru" and taught to contact other gods (we
know them as demons). Bernie was beginning to build a Buddhist
Temple in Los Angeles, but was brought to the Lord. His training,
experience and studies extends beyond Buddhism to Hinduism,
Transcendental Meditation, Astro Travel, Palmistry, Occult and
Mysticism, just to name a few. Bernie conducts seminars worldwide
to educate the body of Christ as the founder of Deliverance from
Deception Ministry.
Dudley Woodberry:
Serves as Dean Emeritus and Professor of Islamic Studies at the
School of Intercultural Studies, Fuller Theological Seminary, Pasadena,
California. After doing his M.A. at the American University
of Beirut in Lebanon and his Ph.D. in Islamic Studies at Harvard
University, Cambridge, Massachusetts, he and his family served in
Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Saudi Arabia.
